Welcome to Reuben & Rose.

I’m Kimberley ‘Rose’ Smith, the designer and milliner behind the brand.

Originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, my journey into fashion began with a Diploma of Fashion Design from the Design and Arts College of New Zealand. Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do, but it wasn’t until I moved to Melbourne in 2012 that my passion for millinery truly came to life.

Melbourne’s vibrant fashion culture and the excitement of the Spring Racing Carnival opened my eyes to the artistry of headwear. I became fascinated by how a beautifully crafted piece can completely transform an outfit and make someone feel confident, elegant and unforgettable.

What started as curiosity quickly became a craft I fell deeply in love with. I immersed myself in traditional millinery techniques while exploring modern materials, sculptural shapes and bold colour combinations. Over the years I’ve refined my style to create pieces that feel striking, feminine and wearable.

In 2014 I founded Reuben & Rose Divine Millinery — a brand built on creativity, craftsmanship and the belief that everyone deserves to feel extraordinary.

Every piece you see is designed and handcrafted by me. From shaping and trimming to the final finishing touches, each headpiece is created with care and attention to detail so it not only looks beautiful, but feels comfortable and special to wear.

My designs have been worn at race days and special events across Australia and beyond, particularly at Fashions on the Field competitions where standout millinery can make all the difference.
